Road Trip!

I took an impromptu road trip to Colorado in March.  Impromptu because some work I had in Asia fell through, leaving me with a gaping hole in my calendar.  So I jumped into the Snowpocalypse S2000, and, 1,700 miles later found myself skiing in CO.  I’ve been so busy since I got back that I’ve barely touched the photos that I took.

Which begs the question, ‘what have I been up to?’

I’ll tell ya.  But first, some pictures…and a neat video.

Snowpocalypse S2000, doing it’s thing on WV State Route 15, dubbed one of the best driving roads in the country (I agree!).  And with dedicated snow tires, the drive wasn’t any less fun.  In fact, it was damn near a rally stage when I drove through.

Me, hiking the bowl @ Aspen Highlands:

(Props to Carly for getting a shot of me.  It’s nice to be in front of a camera every now and again).

View of Hunter Mtn, from the summit of the Highlands Bowl:

And a video (from A Time To Get).  I wish I would’ve thought to do something like this during my trek.

So if it’s taken me a month to finally start to edit the pics from Colorado, what have I been up to?

A lot.

For starters, the Snowpocalypse S2000 is gone.  It’s been replaced with something *gasp!*…practical.

Why?

Because I’m not done road trippin’.  Next Friday, April 23rd, I hit the road again.  The goal?  Touch all three bodies of water that surround the lower 48.  Atlantic, Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico.  Oh, and shoot.  A lot.  Watch this space…
