I’ll tell ya.  But first, some pictures…and a neat video.

Snowpocalypse S2000, doing it’s thing on WV State Route 15, dubbed one of the best driving roads in the country (I agree!).  And with dedicated snow tires, the drive wasn’t any less fun.  In fact, it was damn near a rally stage when I drove through.

So if it’s taken me a month to finally start to edit the pics from Colorado, what have I been up to?

A lot.

For starters, the Snowpocalypse S2000 is gone.  It’s been replaced with something *gasp!*…practical.

Why?

Because I’m not done road trippin’.  Next Friday, April 23rd, I hit the road again.  The goal?  Touch all three bodies of water that surround the lower 48.  Atlantic, Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico.  Oh, and shoot.  A lot.  Watch this space…

I took over 2,000 pictures on Sunday, so I’ll be editing them steadily for awhile yet.  As I do, I’ll post what I can.

Oh, I shot the Redline Time Attack on Sunday at NJMP (New Jersey Motorsports Park).  Here’s two photos that I can share.

Short Movie Rendez-Vous of Claude Lelouch, in Paris in 1976
On an August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Mercedes. He drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed since Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. Once everything was filmed, he drove the same route again, this time with a Ferrari because he wanted to overlap the sound of a powerful vehicle to give a sensation of speed and noise to the film.

Having never seen said film, I did a little digging around and found it, here.  I’ve tried embedding it below, may or may not work for very long.  But it’s very much worth the watch.

So I watched the film, and realized what a huge compliment I’d been paid.  So thanks.  I’m totally undeserving of the comparison, but appreciate it just the same.

And with that, I give you my second short, ‘Stress‘.  Same idea, trying to edit a bit tighter.

One of the questions I was asked after posting the first video was, ‘what kind of camera are you shooting this with?’

Long story short, a Canon SD750 point and shoot.  Check this post out to see how beat up it is.  It’s worse now.  It can’t zoom.  It doesn’t always turn on, or off, and it’s literally being held together by gaffer’s tape.  I shoot Nikon for my DSLR stuff, but will be loyal to Canon P&S forever because of this.
