What with the recent death of Kim Jong-il, the nutty, nuclear weapons-possessing North Korean dictator, I wanted to share some thoughts and photos with you about my trip there in September - as a few photos, I think, are more relevant than ever. Scratch that, for the words I’m going to quote heavily, because there are [...]

Winter doesn’t officially start here in NYC until December 22nd, but the weather’s been nothing but wintry here lately so I’m guessing mother nature’s off to an early start. So I’m swapping out the banner pic a week early. Out goes the muddy ‘cross pic, in comes snow in the French Alps. Sadly, I wasn’t [...]

Those people jumping? The enthused guy doing a split? They weren’t shots taken at a wedding. Nope! They were genuine reactions from people when I told them my 2011 wedding portfolio was ready. :-P So if you, or anyone you know is getting married in 2012, why don’t you send them this link? I might [...]
Hi guys! Those of you that know me offline will know that besides my photography, I’ve been working on ‘a project’. Well, I’ve finally got something cobbled together that I’m prepared to let see the light of day. What is it? Glad you asked. It’s Deep Reads. An easy way to find something interesting to read. [...]

I’m reposting this from my tumblr, and adding a few extra thoughts because I’m really that worked up about this. I’ve been harping about my home broadband connection for some time now on twitter and wanted to expand on those 140 characters #fail missives after I read this blog post by Chris Dixon. The web is [...]

It’s been something of a tradition of mine to get out on the bike on Thanksgiving morning to prime the Turkey-eater (that’s me, hehe). This year was particularly warm and devoid of traffic. Perfect. Riding. Weather. Snapped these two photos and thought it summed up my ride pretty perfectly. Happy Thanksgiving!

I was fortunate enough to shoot my good buddy J’s wedding last month. Right before I hopped that flight for Korea, in fact. This was easily one of the laugh-iest weddings I’ve ever been to. Is that even a word? That said, I’ve got to give a huge thanks to every guest of the wedding [...]

CX Mag used a photo of mine for issue 13. Issue 14 just showed up in the mail, which reminded me that I hadn’t posted about issue 13. Silly me.

I spent the evening hours yesterday on a balcony in Brooklyn having a few beers and a few laughs. The weather was absolutely fantastic. The sunset, even better. I snapped this pic with my phone and liked it so much that I made a print of it today. I deal with photos every day, but [...]

Gorgeous day today. Spent some of it in the woods shooting photos of my buddy Aleks on his moto. Good times.

I was given the opportunity to spend a week in Korea late last month. As I’m half-Korean, it was always high up on my list of places to visit. But for one reason or another I was never able to make it happen. (Note to my teenage self – if given the opportunity again, don’t [...]

Fall’s officially here, and that means two things here in the northeast. One, the leaves will be changing soon. And two, CX! To celebrate this change, I’ve swapped out the banner pic from a summery shot of my two friends, Nick and Hayley on a boat to something more appropriately ‘fall’ like. Enjoy!

I’ve gotten a few questions about the current banner pic (as of Sept 2011). It’s a shot I took over the summer while visiting my friends, Nick and Hayley, down in North Carolina. You might recall that I shot some engagement photos for them last year, as well as their gorgeous wedding in Charleston, SC this [...]
I’ve been spending a lot of time lately thinking about where journalism and photography is headed in our increasingly mobile, ipad-ed and tableted world. One of the first conclusions that I’ve come to is that we’ll be seeing much more photography in journalism than we do currently. There’s too much talent, taking too many photos, [...]

I was sipping on some french-pressed liquid gold this morning and cruising through my tumblr when I stumbled onto this photo (credit: ravi gill).

Came across this video on Jalopnik about drifting the gauntlet at Wall, NJ.

No idea how I forgot to post this. Maybe I should revisit the rest of the photos. Paris, Fr – December 2010.

I’ve been lucky this year. My camera’s taken me to quite a few interesting places to shoot quite a few gorgeous weddings. Nick and Hayley, Charleston, SC

Two weeks ago I rode the Route de Grande Alps with Ride Strong Bike Tours. One of the days we climbed the Galibier. It looked like this –

Two auto posts in a row, lookout! I was fortunate enough to ride shotgun during Jalopnik’s test drive of the smurf blue 2011 Ford Mustang RTR and snap some photos last September(!). Unfortunately, the review never saw the light of day, neither did my photos. I’m guessing because there was something wonky going on with the rear [...]

You’ve likely heard that LCD Soundsystem is playing their last round of live shows, ever. I went to see them Monday night. My media pass fell through so I couldn’t bring the big camera/get too close, but I did have my cell phone and trusty Canon P&S to snap a few pics with anyway. If [...]
